The material
Why 200,000 fibers per square inch dry steel that cotton leaves damp.
The kit is made from an 80/20 polyester and polyamide split-fiber microfiber, engineered with more than 200,000 fibers per square inch. That density is what lets it hold up to seven times its weight in water, and it's why the fiber pulls moisture in instead of pushing it around the way a standard towel does.
Cotton does absorb water. It just spreads and holds onto it rather than wicking it away, which is why a cotton towel can leave a blade damp even after several passes. GIANTCLEAN's microfiber is built to actually dry the steel, not just move the water around on it, so rust doesn't get the chance to start. Independent studies also show microfiber removes significantly more bacteria than cotton, and the fibers themselves are hypoallergenic and antimicrobial.

How to use it

Wipe
Run the skate wipe down each blade until the steel is dry to the touch. A few passes is usually all it takes.

Cover
Pull the blade covers on before the skates go in the bag. They keep drawing off any moisture the wipe left behind.

Wash
Machine wash with like colors and tumble dry low. Skip the fabric softener, it coats the fibers and cuts absorbency.
